A relatively unknown sport, it leads groups of enthusiasts to attempt to walk on water. It is called, "Liquid Mountaineering," but long ago Jesus called it,"Faith."
Have you ever felt as if you were treading water? It may be finances, relationships, or any other stressor that inhibits your life. Matthew shows us that we were never meant to simply tread water through life, but to walk on it! Through Christ's invitation, Peter was invited to do just that. Yet that is only the beginning of this story. The resulting events show remarkable faith, doubt, and one very wet Peter. Even when consumed by fear and doubt, Jesus reaches down to pull Peter out of his situation and back above the waterline.
