It takes focus to have an opinion. Imagine standing in the middle of a huge crowd at a sporting event. The players are playing a terrific game and the crowd is hanging on every moment. As the home team scores, the crowd is ignited with enthusiasm...yet you alone cheer for the visiting team. When the large majority of people are doing one thing, it is hard to keep your focus. That is exactly what we find in Numbers 13. The nation of God sent scouts that came back with a troubling report, yet Caleb stood up to the dismal reports and put his trust in God.
